The meeting on January 8th featured an interested slide presentation by Coreen on her bicycle tour in Germany. Ian announced that the next Ride for the Noses to support the Humane Society will be March 1st with more information to be on the ride schedule later. Tim is planning the next ABC night at the Travelers' Game for a Sunday afternoon or evening to be announced later. Kenny Gober said that planning is beginning for the next Tour de Hoot ride in McGehee on May 30. The club is helping the Diabetes Association with the Tour de Cure April 25 and the new Cycle for Sight endurance ride on the River Trail May 16.

The Board reelected its slate of officers with the post of secretary to be determined later. The Board voted to give donations to the League of American Bicyclists, Adventure Cycling and BACA for the League Bike Summit in Washington, DC in March.

The next meeting will be at American Pie again, 6:30 PM, Feb. 12 with a Safe Cycling presentation by Tom Ezell and Brad Joseph.

If you value a company that sweats the details, come ride a Pivot on Saturday the 17th at Burns Park and feel the difference a Pivot can make in your vision quest for the ultimate rig. You can expect a rack of womens bikes and even ride the new Firebird - Pivot's first venture into a 130mm trail bike.

The demo truck will be parked at the boat launch area in Burns Park. From I40, take exit 150 and go south to the stop sign. Take a left and look for the Pivot truck and the Chainwheel crew. Easy access to Burns and Emerald Park from there.The truck will be there from 10A until 3P. Little Rock weather supposed to be in the 50's Saturday. Don't forget your id and a helmet.
