CARTI Tour de Rock - Saturday June 9, 2007 Posted Wednesday, May 30, 2007 by Sprokets
Make plans today for the 4th Annual CARTI Tour de Rock (Saturday, June 9, 2007). All the info is at www.carti.com , just follow the Tour De Rock links. You can preregister on line and pick up your t-shirt early (to avoid the rush at the last minute). More people have preregistered this year than have even ridden in the past so come on down, it is a blast to be part of something this successful and to be part of such a great cause.

BACA meeting -June 7, 7:00 p.m. Oyster Bar Posted Wednesday, May 30, 2007 by Sprokets
BACA meeting - June 7, 7:00 p.m. Oyster Bar
Join BACA supporters for the summer meeting on June 7th (Thursday) at the Oyster Bar. This will be our last meeting until the September meeting, unless we need to assemble people for an important advocacy event. Please plan on attending to share in a report on the many bicycle advocacy activities and for a presentation on the upcoming National Trails Symposium to be held in Little Rock. The award of the National Trails Symposium to Little Rock is a real coup & is important for bicyclists and trail users. The symposium needs lots of support from BACA.

ABC June Ride Schedule Updating.... Posted Monday, May 28, 2007 by Sprokets
Updating the Ride schedule over the next couple of days and June looks to have alot of rides setup. The last two rides of May 2007 are....
Tu, May 29th - 6:15PM - Bring the Warp Drives online with Kenny Massa. On the wheels at 6:30 sharp from the Kroger on Chenal - West Little Rock. 20 to 26 miles. Kenny describes the ride as "It's not that fast, it picks up and also slows down". Watch the Forums for Kenny's updates.
-------------------------------------------------------
Wed, May 30th - 6:00PM - ABC Wed Evening Social Ride. Leaving from the parking lot by Competitive Cyclist, down to the Big Dam Bridge and over to NLR. Route varies, but generally includes some combination of Fort Roots, Burns Park Loop and one of the big hills on the Little Rock side. Option to do Overlook and then return to the Parking Lot. Average mileage is about 30, and all riders are welcome. We will regroup several times, and practice pace lining on the straight sections. All riders get a chance to lead the pace line if desired. Some faster riders may ride ahead- but will regroup. Typically includes going out for a bite to eat afterwards. Rain = No Ride. This is an easy ride, advanced riders can ride at their own pace. May 2007 meeting Posted Sunday, May 13, 2007 by Jim Britt
We had a small group but we found Mr. Mason's to give us a good chance to talk to each other and enjoy some BBQ with quick service and we had several new members...welcome to John, Todd, and Martha Marie. Robb Ayers from Ark. Cycling and Fitness had a great program on tubes, tires, and flat repair. One good tip was to carry your spare tube in a heavy-duty plastic bag in your back pocket; the tubes can wear a hole in them inside your saddle bag over months of storage (put the tube in your helmet after the ride so you don't forget it next time). The June meeting will be at Murray Park for the annual ABC picnic.
