Support Komen Race for the Cure on Oct. 17th Posted Wednesday, September 2, 2009 by Jim Britt
The 6th Annual Paddle for the Cure, a fun paddle for kayaks and canoes, will take place on Sat., Oct 17th. We will launch at 7:00 AM from the Burns Park boat ramp in order to arrive at the bridges at approx 8 AM as the runners start the Race For The Cure. Take-out at I-30 boat ramp or paddle back.
Register as if you were participating in the Race for the Cure at www.komenarkansas.org. , tape your number to your boat and wear your t-shirt, but paddle with us instead of walking or running!!
NOTE: Experienced paddlers only, at your own risk.
Bring your own boat and PFD! WEAR A PFD at all times!
Last year the Coast Guard observed some of the paddlers in our group taking off PFDs before they reached shore. Please be safe.
Need volunteers to shuttle! See you on the Arkansas River!
