Time: 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Walk from either side of the bridge. Shuttles will be available to the bridge starting at 5:00 p.m from North Shores and Murray Park. Healthy snacks and give-aways. No pets or bicycles. www.bigdambridge.org

The Jacobs Engineering Group in cooperation with Metroplan will conduct a public involvement meeting to present and discuss the design of the River Bluffs Segment of the Arkansas River Trail.
This will be an open house meeting with no formal presentations. The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view exhibits, ask questions, and offer comments.

Arkansas Bicycle Club Meeting Minutes Oct. 13, 2011
The October meeting was held at American Pie in Maumelle. President Jim Britt called the meeting to order at 7 PM.
Trevor and Steve described the upcoming cyclocross events taking place in Central Arkansas which ABC is helping to sponsor. The October events will take place Oct. 22 & 23. For more information about other events scheduled in Nov., Dec. & Jan. go to their website: http://arkansascyclocross.com/
Jim Britt gave a recap of the Oct. 9th Arky 100 ride in Sheridan. It was a successful event with approximately 290 riders. Jim thanked the many volunteers who helped with registration, rest stops and food and refreshments. Proceeds will go to help ABC continue our bicycle advocacy.
ABC riders can meet at Two Rivers Park Bridge at 7:45 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 15 to ride to the Clinton Library to join the Wounded Warriors ride which begins at 8:30 a.m.
The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is Saturday, Oct. 22.
Tour de Pumpkin in Russellville is Saturday, Oct. 29
The Tour da Delta in Helena is Saturday, Oct. 29.
Saturday, Nov. 5 ABC will ride to Hindman Park to participate in a neighborhood clean up and kids ride. Check the ABC ride schedule for details.
The annual Hot Springs ride will be Nov. 18 & 19 with an overnight stay at the Park Hotel.
Coreen Frasier and other ABC members will give a presentation to the Arkansas Running Club on the 2011 Tour de Nebraska.
Jenny Rainwater reported on the very successful 3 day, 2 night ABC Bike Tour around Lake DeGray Oct. 1, 2 & 3.
Tom Ezell gave a presentation on first aid which emphasized bike related accidents.
